The Supervision Circle with Dr. Saira

Supervision for the Clients Your Training Didn't Prepare You For

Transpersonal approaches you can bring into your sessions, a small circle of practitioners, and the confidence to stay with clients when the usual tools don't land.

Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and two-time TEDx speaker

Sound Familiar?

You know the tools. Then a client sits down with something the tools don't quite reach.

A person in a hood looking out at a sunrise

Grief with a spiritual edge

The loss that's also a crisis of faith or meaning, and you're not sure how far to go there.

Four generations of women in profile

A pattern three generations deep

The family story your client keeps repeating, and you can feel the weight of everyone behind it.

A counsellor taking notes in session

A culture your program covered in one afternoon

You want to get it right, and you don't want your client to have to translate themselves for you.

Dr. Saira speaking

You'll start to feel like the world is an awful place, because the stories you hear are about awful things. You have to remember you're only seeing a small slice of someone's life.

Supervision That Deepens Your Work

Supervision is where you put those stories down, think clearly about your clients, and find your own therapeutic voice.

Over 10 monthly sessions on Zoom, you'll bring real cases, practice blending spirituality with evidence-based methods in a way that fits each client, and learn alongside a small group of practitioners who care about this work as much as you do.

Questions

How many people will be in the Supervision Circle?

To keep it interactive and personal, there are a maximum of 12 practitioners in the circle, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and bring cases.

Do I have to attend every meeting?

We strongly recommend attending live, so you get the most from the conversation. Meetings are usually on the first Monday of the month, 6:00 to 8:00 pm Pacific, from January to November 2027, with no meeting in August or December.

What if I miss a meeting?

Life happens. Sessions are recorded, and if you miss one, email Dr. Saira and she'll send you a private, view-only link. Recordings are deleted within 7 days of each session. There are no partial refunds for missed sessions. Being there live is where most of the value is.

What are the supervisor's credentials?

Dr. Saira is a Canadian Certified Supervisor (CCS) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She is also a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor, has been in practice since 2007, has a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology, and has provided clinical supervision since 2020.

Do I have to be a therapist to join?

No. Whether you're a psychotherapist, a counsellor, a social worker, or a coach who supports people through life challenges, a transpersonal lens can widen and deepen your practice. We welcome practitioners from anywhere with formal training in counselling, coaching, or social work. Others with equivalent training and a similar ethical framework may be considered case by case: email [email protected] with your registration or licensing details and training background.

Do these hours count toward my supervision requirements?

Past members have used circle hours toward their association's supervision requirements, and we can provide documentation of your attendance. Requirements differ by designation and association, so please check with yours.

Can I claim this through extended health benefits?

Probably not. The Supervision Circle is professional development, not personal therapy. Your employer may offer continuing education funding, and if you're in private practice you may be able to deduct it as a professional development expense. We don't direct-bill third parties.

What's your refund policy?

Please email any questions to [email protected] before you register. If you change your mind within 7 days of paying, and before the first session, you'll get a full refund. After that, your fee holds a seat in a small group, so there are no refunds, unless we cancel the cohort. See the Supervision Circle Terms.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. Both rates can be paid in full or in 10 monthly payments. We'll email you a reminder a few days before each payment.

Ready to Join the Circle?

Next cohort starts January 2027. Twelve seats. Ten sessions. One steady circle for the cases that stay with you.

Where the Training Stops

As therapists, counsellors, social workers, and coaches, we’re taught the tools of the trade, but what happens when those tools aren’t enough? A lot of us end up questioning our training and our impact, and clients can end up feeling misunderstood or unsupported.

A small, steady circle for your practice, your clients, and yourself.

Dr. Saira Sabzaali has been in practice since 2007, and she leads a small group of therapists, counsellors, coaches, and social workers in bringing evidence-informed transpersonal approaches into their work. Over 10 monthly sessions, you’ll bring real cases, practise blending spirituality with evidence-based methods in a way that fits each client, and be part of a community of practitioners who care about this work as much as you do.
